Jessica Ruth Freedman is a Victoria, Canada based contemporary painter. Jessica's artworks evoke her desire to live life as art, in all its glorious and sometimes murky splendour. The underpinning elements of her paintings contain the emotionality and sometimes sentimentality of life's big issues; loss, mourning, passion, and beauty, with an articulated effort of overall peacefulness.

Jessica's current body of work, MOBO, or Modern Botanicals, juxtaposes the relentless advance of technology and mastery over the natural world, with the enduring, albeit destructible organic world. Viewers of her work clearly resonate with representational elements from the verdure, while being entranced by modern abstract shapes reminiscent of architectural details.
