FLOAT FRAME OPTIONS

Float frames allow a canvas to float inside a solid wood frame. The full size of the canvas is in full view, including a fraction of the sides. There's a gap between the frame and the canvas edge. The face of the frame beside the canvas is approximately 1/2". Canvas paintings usually come in 2 sizes - 3/4" thick and 1.5" thick. Of course artists do choose other depths of stretcher bars. So be sure to ask about the depth of the canvas if you plan to frame it.
