By the method of the old masters, Adriana has captured the light and feel of curled leaves drifting along a pool of water reacting to the commotion of the wind. The painting invites the fall hiker to pause their journey on the autumn trail and observe how the ripple in the water causes the fall foliage to dance around.  Is it a pond, puddle or lake? How deep is the dark water?
