A beautiful and delicate abstract botanical scene depicted by Kathleen Potter. Potter writes about the painting, "The painting started with fluid acrylic in the background using the pouring technique. You can see the grey / white in the background. I started painting from the bottom up. As usual, I paint without having any reference and the painting evolves as I go. I did not know that I was going to be painting the seasons until I was part way through. Looking at the top is winter with grey skies and some rain and snow. Below that is spring with the flowers just emerging. Some people see that as forsythia. Summer is below that with brighter flowers, outdoor dining, etc. You can see a vessel... which to me suggests dining outside. The autumn season is at the bottom with the fall colours. Of course, the observer might see other objects and have a different interpretation. Changing Seasons is done with mixed media. The blue you see on the top left with five descending symbols ties all the seasons together. I occasionally used these symbols on my paintings. Because these symbols come and go in my painting, I view then as sacred geometry. I do feng shui, space planning and intuitive readings for clients and you can see why this came in this painting. A serene and feng shui piece."
