COLOUR & TEXTURE ART SHOW

Colour & Texture Celebrating Black Identity & Culture
About the Exhibition
Art speaks in a language that transcends words, and Colour and Texture honoured that truth with profound sophistication. This exhibition celebrated the depth, resilience, and boundless creativity of Black identity and culture. The artists featured understood something essential: that artistic expression is an act of reclamation and reimagining. Many works were three-dimensional, creating an immersive experience where the boundary between viewer and art dissolves entirely—not passive observation, but an invitation to engage, to reflect, and to witness the richness that emerges when creativity honours its roots while pushing boldly toward the future.
Black communities have long used artistic expression as a form of resistance, celebration, and truth-telling, and this exhibition honoured that legacy. Creativity has been used to push boundaries, to celebrate identity, and to imagine new possibilities. Standing in this space, visitors experienced art that demanded presence, that spoke to the soul, and that reminded everyone why creativity matters: it is how we claim our power, tell our stories, and transform the world.
Our featured artists Sheryl Keen & Kayla Cowan bring their distinct styles and sensibilities to the forefront.
Don’t miss this extraordinary celebration of life, art, and the essence of being. Mark your calendars and prepare to be moved.
