Memories of Old Grumpy Vlad My Last & Final Exhibition
About the Exhibition:
Vladimir Kabelik, renowned Canadian photographer and filmmaker, presents his last and final exhibition. Come and experience the culmination of his remarkable career: a carefully curated collection of archival photographic prints that represent a lifetime of artistic vision. This exhibition celebrates the dark, dynamic photography he is celebrated for.
The Artist's Philosophy :
"My photographs keep me alive, because they selflessly heal my soul."- Vladimir Kabelik
Throughout his distinguished career, Vladimir has used photography as a counterpoint to his dynamic work in film—a meditative practice that grounds him in stillness and presence. Curators have termed his work "dark peace stills". They are the visual manifestation of the artist's search for inner peace, a profound contrast to a lifetime spent advocating for justice and social change.
When Vladimir walks with his camera, he becomes present. He observes. He allows the world, its colours, shapes, sounds, and textures to speak through his lens. This is the work of an artist who has devoted his life to seeing what others miss.
The Piezography Difference :
Why These Prints Are Archival. Why They Matter.
Some photographs in this exhibition are rendered in Piezography—a distinguished fine-art printing process that elevates photographic work to museum-quality permanence. Unlike conventional photographic prints, Piezography employs a sophisticated pigment-based system that ensures exceptional longevity rated at 200+ years, unparalleled tonal range that captures the subtlety and depth Kabelik's vision demands, and museum-grade quality recognised as the standard for fine-art institutions and serious collectors worldwide. Each Piezography print is a testament to both the artist's vision and the reverence for the photographic medium. This is not reproduction. This is preservation of art in its truest form.
Both original works and archival Piezography prints are exclusively available at this exhibition—a rare opportunity to acquire pieces directly from the artist's final showing. Quantities are limited.
