About the Exhibition

This open house art exhibition showcases the remarkable diversity of five accomplished artists—Wayne Fisher, Denise Greco, Sheryl Keen, Kathleen Potter, and Joanne Coughlin—whose work spans mediums, aesthetics, and creative philosophies with stunning range. The paintings on display reveal artists unafraid to pursue their distinct visions: geometric grids in warm reds and golds create meditative order and rhythm; fluid poured abstractions flow in teals and purples, surrendering to organic movement; delicate watercolours bloom in soft purples and pastels, inviting contemplation; bold graphic compositions merge black and gold with intricate pattern work, commanding presence through contrast and precision. What unites these seemingly disparate approaches is a shared commitment to craft, to colour, and to the courage required to trust one's creative instincts.

 

Each artist has chosen a language—whether structured geometry, fluid spontaneity, atmospheric subtlety, or graphic boldness—and mastered it with sophistication and intention. Standing in the studio, surrounded by this breadth of vision, visitors experience the full spectrum of contemporary artistic expression: the meditative quality of repetition, the liberation of abstraction, the tenderness of watercolour, the power of bold design.​
