: Since I started painting abstract art, I have never created small-scale pieces until now. The inspiration for both of these abstract Opusculum pieces I've painted comes entirely from nature. I aim to convey the same rhythm and grandeur typically found in larger-scale paintings within the confines of a smaller canvas. In the painting with warm-toned backgrounds, I focus on depicting mountains and hills, clouds and water, distance and proximity, the interplay between the real and the abstract, the intensity and subtlety of colours, and the mingling and juxtaposition of wet and dry pigments, weaving across the canvas in a dynamic dance. In the abstract painting with cool-toned backgrounds, I seek to convey contrasts and harmonies between movement and stillness, tranquility and eruption, rock and water, as well as between rigidity and softness.
